Bloating- No Fun

Hi-ya, friends!

It's getting late and I'm just about to head to bed. However, I wanted to pop in really quickly.

Today I FORCED myself to go to the gym. I had skipped it yesterday and with the wedding in a mere five days, I have to make the best effort I can to get some workouts in. (If you are new to my blog, my sister is getting married) My out of town relatives are coming in a few days, and I know there is going to be tons of food to be had. GOOD food at that! Going to try to make the most out of the down time and hit the gym.

Since I got some great results from my no grains experiment a few weeks ago, I thought I'd do it again. I have been feeling bloated lately and I know it has to do with me eating a ton of bread. I must say, breads and crackers are definitely my weaknesses. Oh yeah, and ice cream, chocolate, cookies and cake are in there too. :)  Anyhow, I'm on day 2 of not eating grains and I am feeling better. It'll probably be a day or two before I feel really good though. It's so amazing how cutting this out of my diet can make such a difference in the way I feel. Bloating= no fun!

In closing, I want to say "hello" to all of my new followers. This past week my followers has gone up quite a bit, and I'm not exactly sure why. However, I LOVE that you all have found my blog, and I hope that I can encourage you (or show you what not to do) on your health filled journey.

That's all for tonight. Talk with you later.

Hey there! Totally stumbled across your blog by happenstance (ahem, googling: weight loss blogging), and I'm glad I did. Great blog!

As for the grains... I know the feeling. It's got to be the starch or gluten or something or other. I hate how it tastes so good though. When I tried cutting it out at first, I went through withdrawal. Tough process. Even now, I'm trying to get back into the healthy vibe (after years of being in "university mode" and "all-nighter" eating), and cutting it grains is harder than cutting out sweets. I don't know why that is.

Again, awesome blog!

Cheers,

Surprise! I'm leaving a comment on your blog! :-) As someone who sees you in REAL life, I can say that you are doing so, SO great! Guess what -- I'm on Day 5 of No Grains and am feeling less (bleh)bloated. You were totally my inspiration for that, and it's been good. See you Thur!
