Five Pounds Away!

Hi-ya, skinny friends! 

Today was weigh-in day, and as you can see from the sidebar and my title, I'm down some poundage! As you read in my last few posts, I haven't been eating the greatest. Well, with cutting out my grains, working out and eating better, I am proud to say that I'm even closer to my goal!! 

Wait, that's not all. I am F-I-V-E pounds away from my goal weight. You have no idea how excited I am about this. I haven't been this weight in 6+ years, so this is a huge moment for me. Since my heaviest, I have lost a total of 55 pounds, which is a ton for a little 5' 4" girl. 

I mentioned in a previous post that my sister has her wedding soon- this Saturday actually! Only three more days until her big day. Anyhow, my mom practiced my make-up and hair today, and I tried on my bridesmaid dress. Would you believe that I lost more weight that I planned since buying it? The back is looser than I'd like, but it could be so much worse. (Like the opposite!)  While I was showing my parents what the dress/ hair/ make-up looked like together, they commented that I looked great. They said they could definitely tell I lost weight and I was looking toned. Doesn't really get any better than that! 

THANK YOU to those who keep pushing me. I'm still not finished with my journey, and I have TONS more to learn about keeping a healthy, active lifestyle. Oh, and don't even get me started on what I'll need to do to maintain. Even though I'm nearing my goal, I'll definitely be continuing my blog. Hopefully I can continue to cheer you on, inspire you, and also let you know what's worked for me in the past.
